Jobber vs ServiceTitan: Jobber Fits Small Crews With Published Prices, ServiceTitan Fits Larger Shops on Custom Quotes
By Sharrk Team · October 29, 2026
Jobber fits owner-operators and small-to-midsize crews that want published prices, a no-commitment monthly option and a fast start. ServiceTitan fits larger trade contractors (think multi-truck HVAC, plumbing and electrical shops with office staff) that will take a custom per-technician quote in exchange for deeper dispatch, pricebook, payroll and membership tools.
Disclosure: we make Sharrk, an AI voice and text agent that connects to both Jobber and ServiceTitan. It is not a substitute for either one.
What is the main difference between Jobber and ServiceTitan?
The short version is size and how you buy. Jobber lists every plan and price on its website, sells a single-user plan, and caps its published plans at 15 users before you "Contact Sales." ServiceTitan publishes three plan names (Starter, Essentials and The Works) but no prices. Every plan has a "Request Pricing" button, and the page describes "per-technician pricing" (ServiceTitan pricing, checked October 29, 2026).
Each company also describes its audience differently. ServiceTitan calls itself "The #1 software for commercial and residential trades" and lists Enterprise, Private Equity and Franchise solutions on its homepage. Jobber's own comparison page calls Jobber a fit for "growing home and commercial service businesses" and ServiceTitan a fit for "larger contracting operations with dedicated office staff." Jobber wrote that page about a competitor, so treat it as Jobber's view (Jobber vs. ServiceTitan, last updated October 5, 2026, checked October 29, 2026).

How much do Jobber and ServiceTitan cost?
Jobber's list prices, billed annually, are $29/mo for Core (one user), $99/mo for Connect (one user), $149/mo for Grow (one user) and $399/mo for Plus (five users). Extra users are $29/mo each. Paying monthly with no commitment costs more: Core is $49/mo that way (Jobber pricing, checked October 29, 2026; new-customer promotions not included). Our Jobber pricing breakdown goes plan by plan.
ServiceTitan does not publish a number. You get a quote after a demo, priced per technician. Review sites such as Capterra also list every plan as "Custom Quote" (checked October 29, 2026). For what goes into a quote, see our post on ServiceTitan pricing.
Which is easier to set up?
Jobber is built for a quick start. It offers a 14-day trial of the Grow plan with no credit card, and its comparison page says it "doesn't charge onboarding fees" and that many customers are "up and running in about two hours." The same Jobber page puts ServiceTitan implementation at "12-16 weeks." That figure is Jobber's claim about a competitor, so ask ServiceTitan for its own timeline during the demo (Jobber vs. ServiceTitan, checked October 29, 2026).
ServiceTitan's pricing page links to an onboarding program but does not say how long it takes or what it costs. Ask for the timeline, the training plan, any implementation fee and the contract length in writing before you sign.
Do Jobber and ServiceTitan have an AI receptionist?
Both do now, but they are packaged differently.
- Jobber: an AI-powered Receptionist is included in the Plus plan and sold as a $29/mo add-on for other plans (Jobber pricing).
- ServiceTitan: the AI Voice Agent books new jobs, confirms and reschedules appointments, and escalates to a live agent. ServiceTitan's help center says it is for residential home service companies in the US and Canada, needs The Essentials and The Works packages plus Basic Phones or Phones Pro, and is "billed based on usage," with every call counted (ServiceTitan help center, checked October 29, 2026). Separately, AI Virtual Agents in Contact Center Pro handle overflow and after-hours calls and are marked "NOW IN EARLY ACCESS" (ServiceTitan, checked October 29, 2026).
If you want an AI agent that also follows up with leads by text, email and voicemail, or answers in more languages, a separate tool can sit alongside either one. See our guides to an AI receptionist for ServiceTitan and a Jobber AI receptionist.
Which should you choose?
Choose Jobber if:
- You are a solo operator or run fewer than about 15 people who need logins.
- You want to see the price before you talk to sales, and you may want a monthly plan you can cancel.
- You do recurring or quote-heavy work such as cleaning, lawn care or handyman jobs, and you want quoting, invoicing and online booking in one simple app.
Choose ServiceTitan if:
- You run several trucks and a dispatch or call center team, often in HVAC, plumbing or electrical.
- You need a flat-rate pricebook, technician payroll and commissions, memberships and deeper reporting.
- You can take a longer setup and a negotiated contract for those tools.
Ask either company the same four questions: total monthly cost for your team size, contract length and cancellation terms, onboarding time and fees, and what the AI receptionist costs at your call volume.
