How much do Angi leads cost? About $15 to $100 per lead, and Sharrk makes sure you win the ones you pay for
By Sharrk Team · October 15, 2026
Angi leads cost about $15 to $100 each by third-party estimates, and you pay for every one whether or not you win the job. Sharrk makes sure you win it: it texts and calls every new Angi lead in under 30 seconds, day or night, and its Strikes keep following up by AI call, text, email and voicemail drop until the homeowner replies or books.
Angi's own help center says "the majority of closed leads are won by the first pro to contact the homeowner." With Sharrk, that pro is you. And you don't build any of it by hand: Mako, Sharrk's AI assistant, sets it all up from one plain-English sentence.
Below is how Sharrk wins your Angi leads, then how Angi charges, what moves the price and how to lower your cost per booked job. Angi's own statements were checked October 15, 2026; third-party estimates carry their dates.
You paid for the lead. Sharrk makes sure you win it.
Every Angi lead answered in under 30 seconds
Sharrk connects to Angi, so new Angi leads come straight in. Sharrk texts the homeowner in under 30 seconds and its AI voice agent calls right after, day or night. That beats Angi's 15-minute advice every time, even when you're on a roof or asleep. The AI answers questions, asks your qualifying questions and books the job onto Sharrk's AI booking calendar, Calendly or Cal.com, or straight into ServiceTitan, or transfers the homeowner to you live. See how it works on our speed-to-lead page.
Strikes follow up until they book
Angi recommends calling at least twice in the first two days, texting and emailing between calls, and calling back at different times. A Strike does all of it for you: AI calls, texts, emails and voicemail drops on the schedule you choose, and it stops the moment the lead replies or books. No paid lead goes cold because someone got busy.
Mako builds it in one sentence
Mako, Sharrk's AI assistant, builds your agents, follow-up and automations from plain English. Tell Mako "follow up with every new Angi lead in 30 seconds until they book" and it builds the Strike, shows you every step and waits for your OK. Old Angi leads, new jobs
Every Angi lead you didn't close is a lead you already paid for. Hunts reach back out to past leads and customers by AI call, text and email inside the calling windows you set, with opt-outs, quiet hours and DNC checks built in, and hand anyone ready to book straight back to you. You're responsible for having consent to contact your list. Learn more about lead reactivation.

How does Angi charge contractors for leads?
Angi Leads (formerly HomeAdvisor Pro) is pay per lead. According to Angi's pro help center:
- You pay for each lead whether or not you win the job. Market Match and Exact Match leads are charged "whether or not you open or respond to it." Instant Booking leads are charged as soon as they are sent.
- Billing is weekly. Leads are charged every Friday.
- You set a monthly spend target, but it is not a cap. Angi describes it as "an estimated dollar amount you'd like to spend each month on leads" and says it "is not a hard cap." Instant Booking leads and opportunities don't count toward it, and Angi says it may let you exceed part of your target by up to 3x for highly targeted leads.
- Opportunities are different. For opportunity leads, you only pay when you accept the connection.
- You see real prices only inside your account. Angi says you can check current prices for your tasks and areas in your pro account after you enroll.
The numbers in Angi's help pages, such as a $40 lead against a $500 spend target, are illustrations, not actual prices.
How much does Angi charge per lead?
Because Angi doesn't post prices, here is what third-party guides report. Treat these as estimates, not quotes.
| Cost item | Third-party estimate | Source (date) |
|---|---|---|
| Angi Leads (formerly HomeAdvisor) | $15 to $100 per lead, by city, competition and service | Jobber (updated 2024) |
| Competitive markets | $85+, "can push $100" | Hook Agency (edited Jan 2026) |
| Angi Ads (profile promotion) | About $300+ per month | Jobber (2024) |
Since Angi doesn't publish a standard contractor price list, these figures are contractor-reported. Hook Agency also reports a one-year contract with a 35% early termination fee; Angi's help pages we checked don't mention contract terms, so ask your rep before signing.
Whatever your price per lead turns out to be, the fastest reply wins more of those leads, and that's the part Sharrk handles for you.
What makes an Angi lead cost more or less?
Angi's help center names the main drivers. The table combines Angi's own statements with what that means for your budget.
| Factor | What Angi says | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Job type | Price "varies by the type of request" | A roof replacement lead usually costs more than a small repair lead in the same area |
| Job size | Project size is a listed factor | Bigger projects carry higher lead prices |
| Location | Price varies by "the location of the request" | Busy metro areas tend to cost more |
| Lead type | Instant Booking, Instant Connect, Exact Match and Job Opportunity leads cost "1.5x as much as Market Match" leads | Direct-pick leads cost more but face less competition |
| Homeowner chose you | You "may be charged more" when a homeowner connects with you directly | Higher price, better odds |
| Spend target | Not a hard cap; can be exceeded | Watch weekly statements, not just the target |
Are Angi leads shared or exclusive?
It depends on the lead type. Angi's leads FAQ says:
- Market Match leads go to "up to four pros."
- Exact Match and Instant Booking leads go to "as many service pros as the homeowner chooses to connect with."
So a Market Match lead is cheaper but you may be competing with three other contractors for the same homeowner. Angi itself says "the majority of closed leads are won by the first pro to contact the homeowner," which makes reply speed the biggest lever you control. Sharrk pulls that lever on every lead: a text in under 30 seconds and an AI call right after.
Can you get a credit for a bad Angi lead?
Sometimes. Angi's credit policy lists these eligible reasons:
- Duplicate lead (same homeowner, address and project type)
- Wrong zip code
- A project you aren't profiled for
- A competitor testing the system
- Wrong or disconnected phone number
The lead must be at least 24 hours old and less than 30 days old. Before you request, Angi says you should have call tracking turned on, have tried to call the homeowner within 24 hours, have called on multiple days, and have no overdue balance. In other words, credits depend on proving you followed up quickly and more than once. Approved credits go toward future leads, not back to your card.
How do you lower your cost per booked job on Angi?
The price per lead is mostly set by Angi. What you control is how many leads turn into booked jobs. A simple example (illustrative numbers, not Angi prices): if you pay $50 per lead and book 1 in 5, each booked job costs you $250 in leads. Book 2 in 5 and it drops to $125, with no change in lead price.
Angi's own guidance points to the same habits, and Sharrk handles each one for you:
- Reply within 15 minutes. Angi says calling within 15 minutes "more than doubles your chances of connecting with the homeowner." Sharrk replies in under 30 seconds. See our speed to lead guide for why minutes matter.
- Call at least twice in the first two days. Angi says a second call increases the chance of connecting by 46%. Your Strike schedules the second call automatically.
- Text and email between calls. Angi says a follow-up email between calls increases contact rate by 16%, and recommends sending a text, especially if the homeowner doesn't answer. Strikes mix AI texts, emails, AI calls and voicemail drops.
- Call at different times. Angi recommends a voicemail, then calling back at different times until you reach the homeowner. Space your Strike's steps across the day and the week.
- Get reviews. Angi says pros with 3+ reviews receive 3x more customer contacts. Sharrk texts a review link when a job is marked Won, with one friendly reminder after 2 days. Our post on reputation management for contractors covers how to ask.
- Tighten your service areas and tasks. Fewer off-target leads means fewer wasted fees and fewer credit requests.
A first text that works when an Angi lead lands, and one Mako can put in your Strike:
"Hi [Name], this is [Your Name] with [Company]. Got your [project] request on Angi. I can come out [day] at [time] or [day] at [time]. Which works better?"
With Sharrk, that text goes out in under 30 seconds and the AI call follows right after. If there's no answer, your Strike can drop a voicemail and try again later that day and the next. For more on the follow-up side, read our guide to AI lead follow-up.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Angi charge per lead?
About $15 to $100 per lead, by third-party estimates: Jobber puts Angi Leads at $15 to $100, and Hook Agency reports $85 or more in competitive markets, because Angi doesn't publish lead prices. Your actual price depends on job type, size, location and lead type, and you can see it in your Angi pro account after enrolling.
How do I win more of the Angi leads I pay for?
Be first. Sharrk connects to Angi, texts and calls every new Angi lead in under 30 seconds, day or night, and books the job or transfers the homeowner to you live. Strikes keep following up by AI call, text, email and voicemail drop until the lead replies or books, and Mako builds it all from one plain-English sentence.
Does Angi charge a membership fee for contractors?
Angi's help pages we checked on October 15, 2026 don't state a membership fee, and Hook Agency reports a one-year contract with a 35% early termination fee. Confirm any fee, renewal terms and contract length with your Angi rep before signing up.
Do you pay for Angi leads even if you don't get the job?
Yes. Angi says you pay for each lead whether or not you win the job, and Market Match and Exact Match leads are charged whether or not you open or respond to them. That's why Sharrk replies to every Angi lead in under 30 seconds and follows up with Strikes until they book.
How many contractors get the same Angi lead?
Up to four pros get a Market Match lead, according to Angi. Exact Match and Instant Booking leads go to as many pros as the homeowner chooses to connect with.
Can I get a refund for a bad Angi lead?
You can request a credit, not a refund, for leads that are duplicates, have the wrong zip code or phone number, are for a task you aren't profiled for, or come from a competitor testing the system. The lead must be 24 hours to 30 days old, and Angi expects you to have called within 24 hours and on multiple days.
How fast should I respond to an Angi lead?
As fast as possible. Angi says calling within 15 minutes more than doubles your chances of connecting with the homeowner, and that most closed leads are won by the first pro to make contact. Sharrk replies in under 30 seconds, day or night.
