How Much Do Pest Control Leads Cost? About $10 to $150 Per Lead
By Sharrk Team · October 19, 2026
Most pest control leads cost about $10 to $150 each, depending on the source: published estimates put Google Local Services Ads around $18 to $70, Google search ads around $30 to $80 for general pest, and Angi, Thumbtack and Networx in a $10 to $120 band. Whichever source you buy from, Sharrk answers and follows up on every lead in under 30 seconds, so more of what you pay for turns into booked inspections.
Termite, bed bug and commercial leads cost more. Some published estimates go up to $200 to $300 per lead for those jobs. None of the platforms below publish a pest control rate card, so every range here is either the platform's own band or a labelled third-party estimate.

| Source | Typical cost per lead | Where the number comes from |

Angi and Thumbtack figures are for all trades, not pest control alone. Networx does list pest control pros on its site, and its help center says each category shows its own price, so check the price for pest control in your coverage area before you set a budget.
Why do some pest leads cost more than others?
Three things move the price most.
- The pest. Elevarus puts headline Local Services Ads leads at about $20 to $35 for recurring general pest and $40 to $70 for termite work in swarm season. Higher job value means more advertisers bidding.
- Your market. Thumbtack prices rise with demand and the number of pros in an area, according to Housecall Pro's write-up of how the platform works. Google says Local Services Ads lead prices vary by location, job type, lead type and bidding mode.
- Shared vs exclusive. A shared lead goes to several companies, so it costs less but you are racing others. Exclusive leads cost more, but the homeowner is yours to win.
What counts as a charged lead on Google Local Services Ads?
Google charges for answered calls, messages, voicemails and booking requests. It also charges a missed call during business hours if the caller stays on the line for more than 20 seconds, and voicemail or a greeting counts as a connected call. Repeat contact from the same customer within 15 days isn't charged again. That makes answering every call during business hours part of your cost per lead, not just good service. Our Google Local Services Ads cost guide covers the billing rules in more detail.
How do you work out your cost per booked job?
Cost per lead only tells half the story. What you really pay for is a booked inspection or treatment.
- Add up spend for one source over 30 days. Example: $1,200 on Local Services Ads.
- Divide by leads. 30 leads means $40 per lead.
- Divide by booked jobs. If 10 of those 30 book, you paid $120 per booked job.
- Compare to what the customer is worth. A recurring quarterly plan is worth far more than one visit, so a higher cost per booked job can still pay off.
Elevarus says booked-job cost typically runs two to four times the headline lead price. The fastest way to lower it is to book more of the leads you already paid for, not to buy cheaper ones.
How do you lower your cost per booked job?
- Answer every call, including after hours and on weekends. Pest problems don't wait for office hours, and an unanswered call can still be a lead you paid for. Our pest control answering service cost guide compares what that coverage costs.
- Reply to marketplace leads in seconds. Shared Angi, Thumbtack and Networx leads can go to several companies, so a fast, useful reply helps you stand out.
- Use the same questions every time. Identify the pest, check for safety issues, and book the inspection. Our pest control call script lays out the order.
- Follow up more than once. A lead who misses your first call can still book. A few spaced calls and texts give each paid lead more chances.
- Track each source on its own. A $25 lead that never books is more expensive than a $70 lead that books half the time.
How does Sharrk handle pest control leads?
Sharrk gives every lead a fast answer and a steady follow-up, so your lead spend turns into booked work.
- Every call answered 24/7. AI voice agents answer, ask about the pest and the property, book the inspection, and live-transfer to your team with a cold or warm transfer when a person should take it. Every call is logged with a transcript, recording, the job details captured, and an email or text alert.
- Replies in under 30 seconds. Leads from Angi, Thumbtack, Networx, web forms and webhooks (such as Meta lead ads through Zapier or Make) get a reply in under 30 seconds.
- Booking on your calendar. Sharrk's own calendar, Calendly, Cal.com, or ServiceTitan with real arrival windows by business unit and job type.
- Strikes for follow-up. Automatic follow-up per lead across AI calls, texts, the AI text agent, email, voicemail drops and video texts. It branches on call results and replies, and stops when the lead replies or asks to stop.
- Hunts for old lists. Reactivation campaigns for past customers and old leads you have consent to contact, with opt-out handling, quiet hours and DNC checks.
Mako, Sharrk's AI assistant, builds all of this from plain English. Tell it "answer calls for my pest control company, ask what pest they're seeing, and book inspections on my Calendly," and it sets up the agent, the follow-up and the booking. Each change shows up on an Apply card before it goes live, and Undo is one click away.
You can build and test everything on Sharrk Free with 2,500 credits and no card. Going live starts with Sharrk Core at $99 a month, with no contracts or setup fees. Want to see it on your own lead sources first? Book a demo.
